Family Circle Playgroup

Building Community, One Playgroup at a Time

At Family Circle Playgroup (FCP), we create a nurturing space where children and caregivers can connect, learn, and grow together. Our Playgroup classes are designed to foster socialization, creativity, and learning in a cooperative environment that values both structured activities and free play.

We believe in the power of community and the strength that comes from shared experiences. Whether your child is just beginning to explore the world around them or is preparing for their next developmental step, our Playgroup offers the right balance of fun, learning, and connection.

🧸 Playgroup Class Overview

Our Playgroup classes are available for children aged 12 months to 5 years old, and are divided into age-appropriate groups to ensure children are engaged and learning at their level. We have classes that accommodate 4-10 families, creating an intimate and supportive environment.

Class Options:

  • Morning Classes: 9:15 am - 11:30 am

  • Afternoon Classes: 12:30 pm - 2:45 pm

These weekly sessions provide a balance of free play, structured activities, and socialization opportunities to support each child's development. Classes are intentionally kept small to promote meaningful interactions among children and caregivers.

πŸ“š Curriculum Overview

To support our parents and caregivers in leading the most engaging and developmentally appropriate classes, we've created a curriculum with suggested weekly themes that are tailored to the specific age group of each class. These topics are designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and hands-on learning for every child.

Each class receives a calendar of themes that aligns with the developmental milestones of the children, offering a balanced mix of educational content and fun exploration. Some of the exciting and dynamic topics covered include:

  • Insects – Discovering the tiny creatures that make our world go round

  • Weather – Exploring the wonders of clouds, rain, sunshine, and more

  • Outer Space – An out-of-this-world journey into the stars and planets

  • Life on a Farm – Learning about animals, crops, and farm life

  • Dr. Seuss Day – Celebrating the fun and imaginative world of Dr. Seuss

  • Pirates and Princesses – A magical adventure full of stories and dress-up fun

  • Circus – Exploring the exciting and vibrant world of circus arts

  • Measuring – Hands-on learning about size, weight, and distance

  • Making New Friends – Building social skills and emotional intelligence through play

  • ...and so much more!

These carefully curated themes allow children to explore the world around them in a way that is engaging, educational, and fun. Parents are encouraged to get creative and adapt the topics to the interests and needs of their class.

πŸ“‹ Class Scheduling & Policies

Class placement is based on availability and age group. Parents should indicate their preferred days and times for playgroup on the Enrollment Page registration form. After collecting all forms and fees, FCP will match families with children of similar ages and compatible availability in August. Once class assignments are made, you will be notified of your assigned day and time.

Please note, once classes are confirmed, tuition is non-refundable.

Parents are required to stay on the premises with their child(ren) at all times during playgroup. Tagalongs (younger siblings) are welcome to attend for an additional fee.
