Family Circle Playgroup: Classes & Curriculum

Classes meet Monday through Friday, September - May. If you're interested in attending two days a week, but a 2 day-a-week class is not offered, you may choose to sign up for two different classes.

Typically, we offer classes for 12 Month, 18 Month, 2 Year and 3 Year Old Children. If there is enough interest in a 4 year old class, one may be added to the schedule. Placement in classes is based on the child's age as of October 1st of the current calendar year, no exceptions.

Morning classes meet from 9:00 am - 11:30 am, and afternoon classes meet from 12:15pm - 2:45pm. These meeting times are somewhat flexible, based on individual needs of the members in the class.

The curriculum is updated prior to each school year and includes topics such as zoo animals, colors, and counting. A typical class schedule is as follows:

We take field trips throughout the year to places like the pumpkin patch, fire station, Storybook Land, and the children’s Ritz Theatre. We also host visitors like The Bug Lady, Paws on Wheels, and Ocean ‘N Motion. In the spring, Family Circle holds its annual Family Festival.
